Jason Kronemeyer

Jason Kronemeyer is a community technologist, data scientist, and adjunct faculty member at Bay Mills Community College whose work develops methods for measuring the relationship between digital infrastructure, community capacity, and economic opportunity in rural regions. His research and applied practice sit at the intersection of telecommunications policy, intelligent infrastructure, data science, and community development, with a focus on helping communities use data and technology to better understand and shape their own futures.

Through his work with regional collaborations such as EUPConnect Collaborative and partnerships spanning education, government, Tribal communities, cooperatives, nonprofits, and industry, Jason helps align stakeholders around shared goals and shared data. His current research focuses on the applied development of the Digital Opportunities Intelligence Network, an emerging policy learning system for combining community knowledge, governance systems, and artificial intelligence to support collective learning and decision-making. His interests include broadband and digital opportunity, intelligent infrastructure, artificial intelligence, community resilience, and the ways human and machine intelligence can work together to support local innovation, collaborative problem-solving, and long-term regional prosperity.
