Ganchimeg Namsrai

Ganchimeg (Gana) Namsrai is a Fulbright scholar and a master’s student in the Department of Media and Information at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on information policy and AI governance, with a particular emphasis on multi-stakeholder approaches and the role of civil society.

Prior to her graduate studies, Gana worked as a researcher and youth activist in Mongolia. She conducted national-level studies on social and media issues, implemented projects to strengthen media self-regulation, and foster cooperation between the media, civil society, and state officials. She also led initiatives to promote youth engagement in democratic processes, including efforts to increase voter participation by disseminating reliable information and analyzing election dynamics.
