The Quello Center is pleased to announce the forthcoming appointment of Alison Hartman Keesey to a new position of Quello Center Office and Events Coordinator. Ms Keesey will support the Director and Center across the full range of its activities from 13 October 2014. As you can see from her brief biographical sketch, below, Alison brings academic training together with experience in key areas critical to the Quello Center, including the study of public policy and regulation, and the conduct of research and the legislative and policy process in local and international contexts, while also having practical experience in key center activities, such as the design and organisation of events, proposal development and outreach.
Alison Keesey grew up near Houston, Texas and moved to Michigan where she received her B.S. and Masters of Public Policy (MPP) from Michigan State University before working with both the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate as a legislative aid. Most recently she has contributed to the DOPPS and EPOCH studies at Arbor Research Collaborative for Health in Ann Arbor, managing an array of tasks related to Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. She recently helped launch a federally funded PCORI grant project assessing the use of Patient Decision Aides and electronic data collection via tablets.
Alison currently resides in East Lansing with her husband Mike and their dog Yakeley. In her free time, she enjoys baking, horseback riding and exploring northern Michigan.
